My cat has a huge bulge in her cheek? Looks like a squirrel's does when they shove food in their mouths?

Does anyone know what could be causing this? My cat was supposed to get taken in to get fixed today and I don't know if they will still fix her.My cat has a huge bulge in her cheek? Looks like a squirrel's does when they shove food in their mouths?
That sounds like dental, but we can't help you, take her to the vet!My cat has a huge bulge in her cheek? Looks like a squirrel's does when they shove food in their mouths?
While she's under anesthesia, the vet will check it. Unless she is running a high fever there shouldn't be any reason they can't check her mouth problem as well. As a matter of fact, many procedures are done piggy back like this, especially for cats, because vets don't like to anesthetize a pet more than necessary and cause them undue stress. They wouldn't be able to treat the mouth problem without knocking her out anyway.

Make sure you stress that you want both problems taken care of at the same time to save a little money and so you don't have to stress her out twice. They'll understand.
Have a vet look at it. It could be an abscess. Either from an external wound or possible from an abscessed tooth.

They might not fix her until the problem is taken care of...but it is still a good idea to have that looked at.
This most like is an abscess cause by a bite or deep claw wound from another animal. The vet will look at it, most likely drain it and give antibiotics.
